Beaches Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry dedicated to eliminating substandard housing in the Jacksonville Beaches. As an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, we work in partnership with local families and volunteers to build and rehabilitate simple, decent homes for qualified families in need. Recognizing the importance of education in breaking the cycle of poverty, we also offer college scholarships, after-school tutoring and rewards for academic excellence for our partner families.

About The Scheidel Foundation
Based in Florida, the Scheidel Foundation invests in two primary fields of interest: organizations that promote the economic empowerment of disadvantaged communities and organizations that advance the practice of integrative medicine. Grants are awarded primarily in Jacksonville/St. Augustine (Duval and St. Johns Counties), Florida; Sarasota, Florida; and the Washington, DC metro area (including Arlington and Alexandria, VA).
The hallmark of the Scheidel Foundation is its personal touch, emanating from the passionate involvement of family members supported by staff who work very closely with the family. The Scheidel family and Foundation staff feel blessed to be enriched by the lives they touch through the work of the Foundation.
